the New England Lobster! Join us for an environmental and educational excursion.

coastal waters, the art of lobster fishing and the strange life of a lobster. The
onsite demonstration and professional narration is informative and entertaining.
Fun for all ages!
- Only 5 1/2 miles from
Rye, are the Isles of Shoals. This starkly remote group of nine islands is a natural
habitat for many species of marine life. History at the Shoals has been diverse.
A large fishing community thrived during the colonial days. By the mid 1800's, island
hotels entertained many famous guests. Legends tell of pirates, buried treasure,
ghosts, murders, and more. Today the islands are home to a large conference center,
a college marine lab and one of the oldest lighthouses in the country.
- Our Island Tour,
with the addition of a Star Island Walkabout. Lunch and dinner are now available
at the Oceanic Hotel! Spend some time relaxing, touring the Isles and walking the
well worn paths of the historic town of Gosport. Visit the charming 1800 stone chapel,
an old graveyard, fishing cottages and the late 1800's Oceanic Hotel. Enjoy the
Victorian setting, traditional Isles of Shoals hospitality and sumptuous Island
food. (Meal reservations are required.) Views from Island ledges are breathtaking.
The evening trips return to Rye Harbor as the sun sets over the mainland.
